10th of Airin 365 IV

Halfling mushroom-hunters on their way to a secret spot of chanterelle in the outskirts of Green Glade came upon a rare sight this day. Three dwarves stood side by side facing the woodland realm of the elves, with one Niematharin before them. After sneaking closer they recognised the elf as Nathilas the Master Archer and captain of the scouts. The group conversed for hours, during which one of the dwarves - one with a blueish tone to his skin - seemed to prepare for battle, only to step back again. A dwarf with a white beard, dressed in what looked to be an armour of red scales (could they be dragon scales?!), seemed to be the one leading the conversation.

It was difficult to hear what was being said, but at one point the elf spoke loudly enough for the halflings to hear him say something in the line of "Claim your oath".

Then, just moments prior to sunset, the white-bearded dwarf equipped his helmet, axe and shield and stepped up to Nathilas - who remained unarmed, but alert. The dwarf roared, and the halflings could identify the word "Clainthuror" among his words - after which he swung his axe with full force towards the elf's head, who seemingly with little to no effort sidestepped the blow.

Such was the tension at this time that the chanterelle mushrooms were almost forgotten about by the halflings watching.

What followed was even more stratling. The white-bearded dwarf stepped back some 20 paces and seemed to brace himself, with legs wide apart and the shield readied. Nathilas then drew an arrow from his quiver, kissed it and whispered to it, after which the projectile began to glow. He placed it on the string, pulled it back and paused. Time seemed to stand still. The birds were silent, the wind stopped blowing and everyone held their breath. Then, suddenly, he released the glowing arrow that darted straight into the breast of the dwarf, who was forced backwards three paces by the sheer force - but he stoutly remained on his feet.

Nathilas was heard saying that: "the dwarven body is a strong one", after which the halflings could swear on that the otherwise so serious elf winked. The white-bearded dwarf pulled out the arrow and looked at it with an expression as if the weight of the world had fallen off his broad shoulders. Nathilas was then seen approaching the group and conversing with them for a moment before vanishing into the forest. Just before he entered the woods, he turned and watched straight at the halflings - which definetly was enough to have them forget about the chanterelle mushrooms and hurry back to Hillyfield.
