Description
The Dazak language is a development from a mix in between Kurashi and the dialect of Narghali that was spoken in Elmwood during the Third Age.
Male and female names are identical in Dazak tongue. They all have but one name, and if needed they present both their parents names. The Dazak name their children in varying manner, with both sweet and fierce meanings. It does not matter in what order the words combined into names come in. Thus the name meaning “Shining Life” can be both Setarem and Taremse (tarem = life, se = shining)
If a combination brings two consonants of the same kind together, one is eliminated. Thus the name meaning “Burning Thunder” is spelled Turtogo, not Turttogo (turt = burning, togo = thunder)
When the Dazak adress someone of importance or wish to show proper respect, they use words of status in addition to the persons name. Such words can be “Ur” (lord, sir), “Adal” (chieftain) and “Pada” (shaman, priest). Thus a great warrior named Arunbars would be adressed Ur Arunbars by younger and lesser warriors who wish to show their respect.
